Les élèves de 5e consultent les indicesHappenings in Retournac : A murder has been committed. A salesman dealing in lace and antique books wad found murdered in the museum. Who could have done such a thing and why? The police gathered clues about possible suspects. The pupils from the primary and secondary classes of the schools in Retournac are leading the investigation ...

Detective book are in the forefront of the “Lire en Fête” 2008 edition. The library of Retournac decided to join in the game and stage a murder so that the children of Retournac would be able to make an enquiry in the same way the heroes of detective books do. This as big as life game, aims to make the workings of detective books understandable.

 

les élèves de 5e étudient les preuvesThe clues from the police enquiry are given to them, including prints, detailed files on each of the suspects, and a detailed map of the museum. The “would-be inspectors” go through the museum as a group, looking for the murder weapon and eventual clues.

Tenacity and perspicacity are both needed to find the murderer and understand his motivations. The enquiry was a success and the culprit was M...... (Shush!!! No more clues to be given for the next set of pupils who will make the next enquiry within the next few days.....)
