The Fanny Viollet exhibition shown in the museum from september to December 2008, most certainly engendered some vocations. The pedagogical team of the museum “Croq’Musée’, proposed to several schools of the department of “Haute-Loire” an initiation, with Sandrine and Magali, to the art of portraiture according to the artist. As it is, her creations, full of humour and boldness, use recovery objects like tops from yoghurt pots, diverse plastic wrappers, to make silhouettes, clothing and portraits in the manner of Arcimboldo.
The excitement is great when it comes to choose which materal to use amongst the wrappers from bottles, yoghurt pots, crisps packet etc….Then comes the practical side: what to use for hair, which image to use for eyes...The children use all of their imagination to re-create their own face.
This workshop is part of the pedagogical programs of “Croq’Musée”, set-up by the educational team of the museum linked with the National Education service and the help of the pedagogical councillor. This action is part of the Federative project 2008-2009 of the National Education, mainly financed by the State, but also jointly with the budget of the “DRAC” and the Education, plus contributions from the Regional Council, and the Council of the “Communauté de Communes des Sucs”.
See you next in June 2009, at the museum, for the restitution of the children’s work.
